Make a prediction about your industry or the clients you serve.
The world only seems to get more and more complex. The need for strong tax professionals is only increasing. But in order to continue to meet those demand, technology has to continue improving.
What is it about Accounting that attracted you to the field?
It’s a respected field, and I really enjoy the personal finance and consultative part of my job.
What drew you to Sassetti?
Complete random chance. I was tired of the large firm culture of my current employer and was looking to return to a small firm atmosphere. I found a Sassetti job posting on Indeed on a Sunday, but did not apply. I looked for it the next day and it was gone; so I went and applied directly on the website.
Who is someone you look up to (living or passed) and why?
My grandpa, he passed away over 20 years ago, and is still the one person that I want to be proud of me. He was the embodiment of someone who had a great work ethic, loved his fellow man, and was a man of God.
Describe your work style.
I like things organized, and done in a manner that maximizes tax savings for our clients. However, I also enjoy keeping a lighthearted work atmosphere. You can be a tax accountant and still be fun to be around.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
(personal) I’ve got 3 wonderful kids and amazing wife. They aren’t and accomplishment per say, but are definitely the center of my world. (work) I served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army Reserve for 8.5 years and did a tour of duty in Baghdad, Iraq in 2003.
