I’ve been with Sassetti since 2018 and am currently a joint leader of our tax team. I’m also an active member of the firm’s manufacturing industry services group.
Our tax team’s mission is to go beyond providing just compliance for clients. We strive to be their trusted and valued partners by finding ways to minimize and plan for their tax burden. We also work side by side with other teams within the firm: audit, wealth management, advisory, and client accounting services.
My main areas of focus are corporate and pass-through taxation, state and local taxation, ASC740 tax provisions, and tax accounting methods. I also do a fair share of trust and estates, gift taxation, and complex personal taxation.
As for my history, I began my accounting career in 2011 at a boutique firm in the northwest Chicago suburbs. I then later transitioned to a large national firm for a couple years prior to coming to Sassetti. Something many don’t realize is that I served in U.S. Army Reserve for over 8 years and am a veteran of OIF.
