Job Description
We are in search of a 2+ year experienced accountant who has worked in the nonprofit industry or in public accounting with a concentration with nonprofits. The CAAS Staff Accountant will maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; reconciling accounts; and ensure compliance; provide full charge bookkeeping duties to clients in a variety of industries; provide payroll processing to Firm clients. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in our office in Oak Brook, Illinois.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting not required but a bonus!
- 2+ years of public accounting experience with nonprofit organizations.
- Proficiency in cutting-edge accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
- Experience in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook.
- A passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and teammates.
